Delivery and Dispatch Policy
How dispatch rider jobs work, what may be sent, and who is responsible for what
Effective date: 14.08.2026

1. What this Policy covers
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
This Policy applies to dispatch rider jobs booked through the DailyPay NG application (the “Platform”) — that is, jobs where a Client asks an independent rider to collect an item from one address and deliver it to another. It forms part of the DailyPay NG Terms of Service.
DailyPay NG is not a courier company, a freight forwarder, or a logistics operator. We do not own vehicles, employ riders, or take custody of any item at any point. We operate a marketplace that introduces a Client to an independent dispatch rider and provides the tools through which that delivery is arranged, tracked, evidenced, and paid for. The contract of carriage is between the Client and the rider.
DailyPay NG does not sell goods. Nothing on the Platform is shipped by us, and no order placed with us is dispatched by us.
2. Service area and timing
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
Dispatch jobs are available within the areas of Nigeria in which the Platform is live and in which a verified rider is available at the time of booking. At the date of this Policy that is Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and the surrounding areas within the service radius shown in the application. If no rider is available within that radius, the request expires and the Client is not charged.
Deliveries are same-day and local. There is no scheduled, next-day, interstate, or international service. Any time estimate shown in the application is an estimate based on distance and current conditions; it is not a guaranteed delivery time, and no delivery is sold on the basis of a guaranteed arrival.
3. Prohibited items
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
The following must never be sent, accepted, or carried through a Platform dispatch job:
Cash, cheques, bank drafts, gift cards, vouchers, or any bearer instrument;
Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, or any component of them;
Controlled drugs, precursor chemicals, or prescription medicines;
Flammable, corrosive, toxic, radioactive, or otherwise hazardous materials, including petrol, diesel, gas cylinders, and industrial chemicals;
Live animals, human remains, or biological or medical samples;
Stolen, counterfeit, smuggled, or otherwise unlawfully held goods;
Pornographic material, or any material unlawful to possess or distribute in Nigeria;
Jewellery, precious metals or stones, or any single item worth more than ₦500,000;
Passports, national identity cards, certificates, title deeds, or other irreplaceable original documents;
Any item that the sender is not lawfully entitled to send.
A rider who discovers a prohibited item at collection must refuse the job. A rider who discovers one in transit must stop, not deliver it, and contact us immediately. The Client is responsible for any loss, penalty, or legal consequence arising from a prohibited item, and we may report the matter to the authorities.
4. Packaging, description, and declared value
APPLIES TO: CLIENTS
The Client is responsible for packaging the item so that it survives ordinary handling on a motorcycle in ordinary road conditions, and for describing it accurately when booking, including its type, size, approximate weight, whether it is fragile, and any special handling it requires.
Where the application asks for a declared value, that figure is what the Client states the item is worth. It is used to inform the rider of the care required and to assess any claim. A declared value is not insurance, and no item is insured by DailyPay NG.
An item that is inadequately packaged, or that was described inaccurately at booking, is carried at the Client's risk.
5. Collection, proof, and handover
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
The Client provides a pickup address with a contact name and telephone number, a dropoff address with a recipient name and telephone number, and any access instructions or landmark needed to find either.
The rider records photographic proof at collection and again at delivery through the application. Those images are stored against the job and are the primary evidence used if the parties later disagree about the condition in which an item was collected or delivered.
The Client may follow the rider's location live in the application from collection until delivery.
An item is treated as delivered when it is handed to the named recipient at the dropoff address and the rider records proof of delivery. A rider must not leave an item unattended, with a neighbour, or with any person other than the named recipient unless the Client instructs otherwise in writing through the application's messaging.
6. Failed and refused deliveries
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
If the recipient cannot be reached, is not at the address, refuses the item, or the address proves to be wrong or inaccessible, the rider records the attempt and the reason in the application and contacts the Client for instructions.
Where the Client asks for the item to be returned to the pickup address, the return leg is treated as a further delivery and the delivery fee for that leg is payable. Where the Client cannot be reached, the rider returns the item to the pickup address and the same applies.
A delivery that fails for a reason within the Client's control — a wrong address, an unreachable recipient, a refused item, or a prohibited item discovered at collection — is chargeable. A delivery that fails because of the rider is not, and is handled under the Refunds and Cancellations Policy.
7. Payment on delivery
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
Where a job is arranged with an amount to be collected from the recipient on delivery, the rider collects that amount from the recipient in cash and it is recorded against the job in the application.
That money belongs to the Client and passes directly from the recipient to the rider and then to the Client. DailyPay NG does not receive, hold, or transmit it, and it does not enter any DailyPay NG wallet or account. Any dispute about a collected amount is between the Client and the rider, and we assist by producing the job record and the proof images.
8. Delivery fees
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
The delivery fee is shown in the application before the Client confirms the booking. It reflects distance, package size, and any special handling. Waiting time beyond a reasonable period at collection or delivery, additional stops, and return legs are chargeable, and are shown before they are added.
Where the Client pays through the application, the fee is held under the escrow arrangement described in the Terms of Service and released to the rider after delivery. Where the Client pays cash, the Client pays the rider directly and DailyPay NG receives only its commission from the rider's wallet.
9. Loss and damage
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
Because DailyPay NG never takes custody of any item, liability for loss of or damage to an item in transit rests with the independent rider who carried it, subject to Nigerian law.
A Client who believes an item was lost or damaged in transit should raise a dispute in the application within 48 hours of the delivery being marked complete. Where the Client paid through the application and the funds have not yet been released, they are held while we review the job record, the proof images, and both accounts. Where our review supports the Client, we refund the delivery fee and may, where appropriate, contribute toward the item itself; we will always tell the Client what we have decided and why. Nothing in this paragraph limits any right the Client has to pursue the rider directly.
No claim can be made in respect of a prohibited item, an item that was not accurately described at booking, or an item that was inadequately packaged.
10. Cancellations
APPLIES TO: ALL USERS (CLIENTS AND ARTISANS)
Cancellation of a dispatch job, and any fee that applies, is governed by the Refunds and Cancellations Policy, which applies to dispatch jobs in the same way as to any other job on the Platform.
